Invariants

• Every program starts at IDLE on each run (no sticky state).
• State writes are atomic.
• Pre-check failure → HELD (no execute, pipeline skips cleanly).
• Exception → ABORTED with captured traceback.
• Post-check failure → ABORTED with reason.
